Armageddon Fighting Championships confirmed today with TopMMANews.com that a rematch between middleweights Nick Hinchliffe (11-5) and Dan MacIver (6-0) will serve as the main event for AFC 2: Aftershock on March 6th from Bear Mountain Arena in Collwood, B.C., which is located near the province's capital city of Victoria.
The first fight between Hinchliffe and MacIver served as the co-main event at King Of The Cage: Impact in Nanaimo in October, 2008. On that night, MacIver, who remains undefeated, forced Hinchliffe to tap-out due to punches midway through the second round. MacIver has since won two more fights and, besides the fight with Hinchliffe, has finished each of his five other opponents to date via first-round (T)KO. However, Nanaimo's own Nick Hinchliffe, who dropped MacIver to the canvas temporarily early in their first encounter, has scored seven (T)KO's of his own and will certainly be eager to exact some revenge on March, 6th.
Hichliffe vs. MacIver II also a fitting main event for AFC II because both men scored impressive (T)KO wins in separate fights at Armageddon FC's debut show in August, 2009.
