*** Correct Picks --- Incorrect Picks

Obviously, I had a great night. The Canucks picked up a big win, plus I went 10-1 (%90.9) on my picks. In fact, it was my best win/loss ratio since I began predicting cards over a year ago. I raised my record to 130-75 (%63.4) and 16-5 (%76.2) in main events. What feels even better than just picking the correct outcomes is how accurately I handicapped the way the fights would go. As a result, I finished in the top ten percent of all predictors at MMAPlayground.com. Of course, finishing the night up cash on Bodog.ca with a big parlay on Florian, Penn and Grant didn't' hurt either.

More importantly, what a great night of fights that was. At a time when illnesses and injuries have ravaged the UFC's roster, they somehow managed to hold this stacked card together. "Rampage" in the main event would have played well in Memphis, no doubt, but the UFC has to be happy with tonight's fight. I was also impressed by the level of sophistication the Memphis crowd displayed. Their rapt attention during Fitch and Pierce's highly-technical grappling was perhaps the high-water mark for North American crowds to date.

Honestly, UFC 107 is going to be a tough act for the injury-riddled UFC 108 card to follow. On the other hand, what show wouldn't want a strong lead in? Hey, it worked for Kelsey Grammer for years when "Friends" was warming up the crowd for "Frasier"
