Nick Diaz: Extended Post-Fight Interview

In this interview, following his first-round TKO over Maruis Zaromskis (13-4) at Strikeforce: Miami, Nick Diaz (21-7-0 1NC) discusses winning the belt, suspect judging and officiating in MMA, and why he disagrees with all of his career loses.

Nick Diaz also makes it clear that he would rather fight someone with a bigger name than Jay Hieron (19-4) for his first title defence. Interestingly, he continually insists that he would like to fight Georges St.-Pierre (19-2), which can't happen in Strikeforce.

Apparently, Strikeforce president Scott Coker sympathizes with Nick's position as it is now rumoured that Diaz' next opponent will be Hayato "Mach" Sakurai (35-10-2), who is much better known to MMA fans than Hieron. That fight is not a perfect fit either, though, given that "Mach" has lost his last two fights to Zaromskis and Akihiro Gono (31-15-7).
