Randy Couture Is More Interested In Big Fights Than Winning Titles

Fresh off a resounding victory at UFC 109, Randy Couture (18-10) spoke with MMAWeekly.com about his future plans, indicating that winning another world title is not high on his list of priorities.

That is probably the best attitude for Randy to have because: A) it would be difficult to justify giving him the next title shot over the winner of either Rashad Evans vs. "Rampage" Jackson or Forrest Griffin vs. Rogerio Nogueira [both set for UFC 114 on May, 29th] and, B) a fight against either "Shogun" Rua (18-4) or Lyoto Machida (16-0) is an extremely tough match-up for Couture.

As for who "The Natural" should fight next, that's a pretty difficult question to answer. The winner of Ryan Bader vs. Keith Jardine [set for UFC 110 on Feb. 20th] could make enough sense, but B.C. MMA Fan supports a fight against Rich "Ace" Franklin (25-5) with the winner receiving a title shot, because that fight is a win-win for the UFC and, you know, why not?
