MMA's Next Generation

It is a bit of a slow news day today, so I thought I'd link to this well-researched article from FiveOuncesOfPain.com. It's called "The Future Of The Sport." In it, Cody Brady takes a look at MMA's most accomplished under-30 fighters in an attempt to isolate those that will make a big impact on sport going forward. It's broken down by weight class and, in many cases, you'll probably know of these fighters, but I found I was surprised on several occasions by how young these athletes actually are. In most cases, I was also surprised by how early in their lives they began competing.

It's a really fun read for MMA fans who fall anywhere in between the poles of "casual" and "hardcore."
